Dear Tassajara Hills Community Families,
Cub Scout Pack 689 invites your son to join us in our 2017-2018 Scouting year.
Cub Scouting is open to all boys attending first through fifth grades. Cub Scouting has ten purposes including character development, good citizenship, respectful relationships, fun and adventure, friendly service and others.
We work on scouting’s purposes and twelve core values through a year of scheduled activities, a select few include:
• Monthly Pack Meetings (at Tassajara Hills Elementary School’s MPR)
• Monthly Den Meetings
• Fall & Spring Campouts
• Popcorn sales fundraiser
• Pinewood Derby (Racing gravity power race cars built by scouts)
• Attending college football and professional basketball games
• Scouting For Food
• Blue & Gold Banquet
• Monster Truck Show
• Technology Museum program
• Earth Day event
• Space Derby (Racing model space ships built by scouts)
• Independence Day parade march
• Night Hike and BBQ
Pack 689 typically has 75 to 85 scouts and is an excellent organization for boys and their families to build new bonds and friendships in our community.
For more information and to register, please visit our monthly Pack Meetings, see attached calendar, located out Tassajara Hills Elementary School MPR from 6:30-7:30 pm. Annual registration fee is $175.00 per scout payable by check made out to "Cub Scout Pack 689". While we will have registration forms available at the meeting, we recommend printing out and completing the forms at home and bringing them to the meeting. Registration forms need to be completed by all new Scouts and are attached below: a) Youth Application b) Medical Health Form.
